St. Aubin Curled around one of the island’s original harbours, the enchanting fishing village of St. Aubin is a fascinating tangle of historic houses and steep streets leading to sea view panoramas. A lazy stroll will take you past restaurants and bars with harbour views. Corbière Lighthouse Corbière Lighthouse dominates a panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean and often magnificent sunsets. Sitting at the point where land meets sea, built on a rocky outcrop 500 yards from the shore and towering 35 feet high.

Circular foodie tour Start at St. Helier, cycle west along the cycle track to First Tower, heading inland towards Waterworks Valley. Cycle through this pretty valley turning right along to Route de St Jean where you’ll pass farmer Joe Freire’s strawberry stall - buy a punnet or two. Surfing The Atlantic swell and tidal shifts, along miles of sand, make St. Ouen’s Beach the perfect place to try your hand at this addictive sport. Join the lineup at local spots: Secrets, Splash and Le Braye or have a lesson with one of the talented surf instructors on the island. Book a lesson or hire some gear from one of the local schools (Splash Surf School, The Surf Yard or Little Joe’s Surf School or Laneez.)

From there it’s crosscountry through the Green Lanes past Jersey Zoo and down to Rozel for lunch at the Rozel Pub or the Hungry Man. Cycle the coastal roads past Archirondel and Anne Port with a stop at Gorey for artisan patisseries at The Works, before returning to St. Helier.

Look out for directional signs like this whilst cycling through green lanes. Follow one of a number of cycle routes (shown on the map) which are well sign posted and take in miles of lush countryside and Green Lanes, where pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders have priority over cars and motorists must slow to 15 miles an hour. Route 1 Corbiere St. Aubin Cyclists under 14 years of age must wear a cycle helmet at all times.

Complete Coastal Route Feel free to start anywhere along the route, but for a clockwise route head out from St. Helier’s Liberation Square following Victoria Avenue onto St. Aubin’s Harbour westerly. Pass through St. Brelade and down onto the coast at Corbière Lighthouse and then proceed north up the coast road. Cut inland at Les Mielles Golf Course and loop around the Nature Reserve, continuing to bear north. Upon reaching L’Etacq, take the lanes northeast up towards La Grève De Lecq barracks and follow the northern coast road east from here. On this passage you will pass Sorel, St. John, Trinity and Rozel. Head west to Fliquet and St. Catherine’s Breakwater before proceeding southerly to Gorey Harbour and village, passing Grouville on your way back to the A4 which will take you back on to the front of St. Helier. Length: 40 miles / 64.4 km Time: 6.5 hours approx. Hills: 7 Routes 1 & 1b 1 Jersey Zoo Park to St. Martin From Jersey Zoo take the main road east toward La Ville Bree before turning south and heading through the lanes of Rue du Huquet and Rue du Puchot. Bear south until arriving in the village of St. Martin passing the Parish Church and turning right at The Royal pub down Rue de Payn. Feel free to join onto the coastal route from here down towards Gorey. Length: 2 miles / 3.2 km Time: 15 minutes approx. Hills: 0 Easy 1b

St. Helier to Victoria Village Start this cycle at St. Helier on Val Plaisant heading north easterly to cross the intersection at Rouge Bouillon and heading straight down Trinity Road. This road continues on to Les Vaux New Road and Grand Vaux, stick to this road until reaching the Grand Vaux reservoir which joins on to your finishing point on Mont de la Rosiere and Victoria Village near the Eric Young Foundation. Length: 2 miles / 3.2 km Time: 15 minutes approx. Hills: 0 Easy 7 La Rocque to La Hougue Bie Start this route at La Rocque, a picturesque fishing harbour with a pier and fishing boats. Head inland via Rue de la Louderie opposite the slipway turning briefly on to Rue des Nouettes before joining Rue du Moulin à Vent. From here you will cycle across the junction of La Rue à Don joining Rue du Boulivot before taking a left turn on to La Cache Simonet and Le Chemin du Radier. Heading further inland towards St. Martin’s parish you will reach La Hougue Bie, an ancient Neolithic burial chamber and chapel which is the 10th oldest building in the world. Length: 3.5 miles / 5.6 km Time: 30 minutes approx. Hills: 0 Easy 8

Liberation Square to the Caesarean Tennis Club Like cycle route 5, this cycle starts at Liberation Square at the Liberation Statue in St. Helier, heading north via town roads Conway Street journeying through the centre of town along New Street. Turn onto Burrard Street, turning left into Bath Street until you come to Millennium Park. The route continues through the park taking Oxford Road all the way to Springfield Stadium, passing through the grounds and onto Springfield Road turning right into Le Geyt Road follow the road around and from here you will see the finish - Caesarean Tennis Club. Length: 1.24 miles / 2 km Time: 15 minutes approx. Hills: 0 Easy 9

3 Central Island Route Starting in the lane of Rue de la Chouquetterie head south before turning right onto Rue Saint-Julien, then take Rue De Neuilly onto Rue du Champ Colin south. Upon reaching La Hougue Bie follow the roads straight heading north, passing St Paul’s Football Club and then bearing west from Rue de la Guilleaumerie. Turn right onto Rue Du Ponterrin and continue onto Au Bailli Street looping around and heading through the lanes of Rue de La Garenne and Rue du Vieux Moulin. Take a right to turn north and pass Karynas Cakes before turning right up Rue du Douet. Take a left to cycle towards the village of Sion and bank up through the lanes of Les St Germains. Take Les Charrieres Nicolle onto Le Chemin des Moulins winding around and keeping west before heading up La Rue des Bessieres up to St Mathieu Church. Pass around the back of the quarry and continue looping through the lanes heading west until you reach Elysee where a right turn north is required to then follow La Rue de L’Elysee before turning left to head south, straight to the crossroads to pass St Ouen’s Manor and continuing down straight towards the coast via Mont Matthieu. Length: 14.5 miles / 23.3 km Time: 2.25 hours approx. Hills: 5 From the Old Station Cafe on the south coast head north and turn right at Benest Food Hall, then taking a left to travel up Le Chemin des Moulins following the trees up passed the reservoir of Waterworks Valley. Take a left a continue following the lane northerly, finally turning left and winding onto Les Charrieres Nicolle. Length: 2 miles / 3.2 km Time: 30 minutes approx. Hills: 0 Medium Victoria Village to Jersey Zoo This route diverges from route 3 starting at Rue de Dielament (at the Rue du Pont junction) and finishing at the world famous Jersey Zoo. When you reach Dielament Farm bear right and then left and follow the road all the way until Rue de la Pièce Mauger, turning left on to the main road La Profonde Rue following road signs towards Trinity. Jersey Zoo is on your left, follow signs to the entrance. Length: 1 mile / 1.6 km Time: 15 minutes approx. Hills: 0 Easy 3a

Head up the cycle lane north near the Seawold Guest House until you reach Paperclix. Chicane around La Rue du Moulin de Tesson and take a right turn up past the Tesson Chapel. Follow Meadow Bank up to Les Charrieres de Malorey and wind round the trees following this lane for a short while. Go straight at the crossroads of Morel Farm and continue following the road north, then turn right onto La Ruette d’Avranches and cruise past Six Rues. Keep north up La Rue du Douet de Rue and then turn right onto La Rue de Bel Air, before reaching St. John’s Manor take a left north up La Rue des Chasses and follow this all the way up to St John. Length: 5 miles / 8 km Time: 1.25 hours approx. Hills: 1 Medium Tesson Chapel to St. Mary’s Country Inn Begin at Tesson Chapel heading up St. Peter’s Valley passing by Le Moulin de Quetivel, keep going up the hill joining onto Rte de la Vallee, cycle along La Hague Reservoir. Take a shortcut through Le Vallee de Vas onto La Dimerie, eventually joining back onto Rte de la 4a

This cycle starts at Liberation Square at the Liberation Statue in St. Helier, heading north via town roads Conway Street and New Street. This will take you through the centre of town where there are plenty of restaurants and bars to enjoy. Take Val Plaisant curving towards Vallee des Vaux, pass Waitrose and continue northerly along the route next to the stream. You can join cycle path 3 here to continue on to the West coast for a longer cycle. Length: 2.8 miles / 4.5 km Time: 30 minutes approx. Hills: 1 Easy St. Aubin’s Bay to St. Ouen’s Bay Saddle up on the A1 road outside Mark Jordan at The Beach following the road westerly and joining La Ruelle es Ruaux towards Le Mont de Vignes and bearing north on to La Rue des Vignes turn left into La Rue des Landes, join the main road L’Avenue de la Reine Elizabeth II, cross the road back onto La Rue des Landes and cycle around the airport perimeter cycle track then turn left into La Rue de St. Clement through St. Peter’s Village. At the bottom of Le Mont de la Mare turn right onto Rue du Moulin, where you will join Route 1 and all the way to the stunning west coast. Length: 4 miles / 6.4 km Time: 45 minutes approx. Hills: 1 Medium 6

Rugby Club (Rue des Landes) to Corbiere walks, via Les Quennevais Sports Centre Start your journey at Jersey Rugby Football Club, the junction of La Rue des Landes & L’Avenue de la Reine Elizabeth II head west, passing by Skydive Jersey and Jersey Airport. Follow the road around onto L’Avenue de la Commune. The path continues onto La Route des Quennevais, take a right turn onto La Rue de Cimitiere (Entrance to St. Brelade’s FC) follow the road/path around where it will join onto the cycle track at Les Quennevais playing fields, follow the network signs and road markings until you join the Corbiere Walks/Railway Path Route 1. Length: 1.5 miles / 2.4 km Time: 15 minutes approx. Hills: 0 Easy 10
