Inspiring success story of young Cassie Brown , a highly talented and brave dancer! Dance Attack was instrumental in build- ing her confidence from the support of her dance teachers and from the hands- on dance training she received Cassie Brown is a 16-year old sophmore from Pioneer High School in San Jose, California, who has danced and trained at Dance Attack since the age of 3. Cassie dances and competes in all forms of dance including Hip Hop, Contemporary, Pointe and Latin Jazz. This year, Cassie has also been selected to be on the Artists Simply Human: The Company, in which she tours and assists in different states throughout the U.S. She is also a member of IAF’s mentee program, led by Chehon Wespi (SYTYCD male winner, sea- son 9) and is part of her high school dance team. Cassie is represented by GO 2 Talent Agency in Los Angeles. Physical challenges could never stop this inspiring dancer! Although Cassie started dancing at a very young age, she was faced with a couple of challenges. Cassie was diag- nosed at the age of four with Strabismus. Her vision was very blurry and she would see double vision, even when she danced. Dance Attack was instrumental in building her confidence from the support of her dance teachers and from the hands-on dance training she received. Cassie worked hard and thrived from the opportunities given to her from her dance community at Dance Attack. She learned to be mentally tough. It took many years of intense eye therapy, but she was able to strengthen and stabilize her eye muscles and avoid eye surgery. In seventh grade, Cassie was tested with another chal- lenge. She was diagnosed with Scoliosis. The curvature of her spine required her to wear a back brace every night for 3 years. She diligently wore this uncomfortable back brace to prevent her Scoliosis from worsening. Her dance teach- ers worked with her movements since they were different because of her curvature. There were many restless nights sleeping with the back brace but with her perseverance and support from her Dance Attack family, she succeeded! “We are very blessed to have found a studio like Dance Attack. Cassie and her oldest sister, Sophia, have been dancing there since they were toddlers. Dance Attack provides high qual- ity instruction for all levels of dancers. From recreational dancers to competitive dancers, Dance Attack has something for everyone. They know how to challenge dancers to higher levels. The envi- ronment at Dance Attack is warm, welcoming and positive with a strong sense of community. It is a dancer’s second home. It is

our second home,” revealed Cindy Brown, Cassie’s mom. Cassie has won many scholarships at various dance conventions due to the training she has received at Dance Attack. The faculty is highly trained with impressive resumes. They offer a variety of classes to create a well- rounded dancer. Students’ growth is their priority while building self-confident dancers. Cassie is an ambassador for Jo & Jax, ILO Gear, Dancewear Solutions, and Sharkcookie dancewear. She is often featured and is motivated by having the opportunity to work with other dancers from across the country. She is inspired by connecting with other dancers who share the same joy, and by expressing this beauty for dance when words are insufficient. For Cassie, dance is a language told through movements. Cassie’s goal during her journey is to become a profes- sional dancer so she can continue her passion for dancing while positively inspiring and empowering others that challenges in life can be persevered and success can be achieved with passion, hard work, focus, and dedication.
