way to Heaven; his little monkey snug gled close up against him, and his old accordion making pretty music. Well, maybe the tune was off in places, but one could excuse that, for these were brand-new songs he was learning to play —songs about the Saviour he had found —or who had found him —and the home He was preparing for him up beyond the clouds. Jocko had scampered up several times, ready to dance about in time to the happy melodies—but his new master had given him a gentle little spank and tucked him in beside him. “ There, now,” Pedro whispered to his little brown pet, “ You sit still while I play us to sleep. You don’t dance to these tunes; you mustn’t disgrace me again! If you are real good, you may sit on my shoulder when I play at the street meeting next Saturday night.” The candlelight flickered on the white keys; they moved slowly and more slow ly, and then stopped altogether. Pedro’s eyes were closed, and with a smile on his face, he was dreaming of his home in Heaven, the little monkey curled up against his hand. is in flux. Jesus said, “ Ye must be born again” (John 3 :3). How shall the children ex perience the new birth unless we tell them? Is the Daily Vacation Bible School worth-while? I came to the conclusion that it was not only worth-while, but an absolute necessity for our church. The souls of our children are in peril.
