Word of God that are believed by athe ists, infidels, and scoffers. There are famous passages of Scripture that are used in oral arguments as effective answers to those who oppose. The Word of God is so versatile and comprehensive that it meets every need. Quotation From Isaiah 49:11 This beautiful passage is well known and much used because it reveals the tender care of God and His loving in terest in the welfare of His people. There is nothing rough nor crude in these wonderful words. There is nothing that would stir up strife or cause con tention. This is a passage of peace and of sweetness. It tells of our need and reveals the ability of our Lord to meet that need. No one would deny the truth that is revealed in this passage. It fits those of every denomination and those of no denomination. It is a heart mes sage to our hearts. Quotation From Numbers 6:24-26 This quotation came from the lips of God for the hearts of His leaders. He knew that they would have need of His fellowship as well as His finances but He also knew how easy the heart could be turned from the blessor to the bless ings. Here we find God’s desires for fel lowship with us and His desire for our fellowship with one another. The se quence in this passage is inspired of God. God’s blessing makes one rich and the rich need to be protected from rob bers. The blessing draws away the heart from God. Therefore we need His coun tenance and His face to bring us back. Quotation From Psalm 8:3,4 This beautiful portion reminds each of us of our own insufficiency and in adequacy. None of us are what we should be and certainly not what we would be. The question that is asked here has never been satisfactorily answered except by the Lord Himself. When we think that we are great and wonderful God answers that we are as a mist or a cloud that appears for a little while and then passes away. He reminds us that the grave is forgotten even of those who were mighty in life. We must find our sufficiency and our refuge in the Lord Jesus Christ. Quotation From the Beatitudes In these nine blessings there is found God’s heart of love toward us and God’s thought of wisdom about us. Here we find revealed God’s desires regarding our lives. Here we see what kind of persons we should be and what kind of actions should fill our lives. Character, and conduct permeate this passage. What we are must be acceptable to God and what we do must be pleasing to God. Only He can give us the right character and only He can make us con duct ourselves properly. Our Lord re veals to us His desires for our good and blessing so that He may give His approval.
