Founded in 1997, the County Councils Network (CCN) is the voice of England’s counties. A cross-party organisation, we develop policy, commission research, and present evidence- based solutions nationally on behalf of the largest grouping of local authorities in England. In total, the 20 county councils and 17 unitary councils that make up the CCN represent 26 million residents, account for 39% of England’s gross value added production, and deliver high quality services that matter the most to local communities. We’re optimistic about the future for our public services. We partner with local government to deliver strategic improvement and innovation. We work across adult social care, children’s safeguarding and SEND, housing services and integrated health and social care – and the wider council and systems they operate within. Our work supports with the significant operational, financial and demand challenges faced today. We work with clients to innovate the fundamentals of service delivery, operating models, and systems to transform how public services engage with individuals.
