Supporting Philly’s LGBTQ+ Youth These incredible organizations are providing critical support to LGBTQ+ youth locally and nationwide.
Eric Fox knows that “coming out” to family and friends doesn’t always go smoothly. Fortunately, Eric had a tremendously supportive family and friend network who helped him grow into his true self as a young adult. Based on his experiences, and the fact that so many others have a much more difficult path to follow, he's passionate about supporting young LGBTQ+ individuals as they navigate gender, identity and sexuality. Eric strives to create a community where everyone feels validated and loved as their most authentic selves. That's why he supports two LGBTQ+ organizations doing fantastic work on a local and international level. The Attic Youth Center helps Philadelphia's LGBTQ+ youth develop into thriving independent adults by providing a wide range of programs and services, including life skills training, homework help, mental health counseling and a full roster of social and community events. The It Gets Better Project uplifts, empowers and connects LGBTQ+ youth and allies from around the globe through inspiring media and content, education resources and an arsenal of community-based service providers.
