Big Cats

Most big cats prefer to hunt during the twilight hours of dusk and dawn, as well as at night. They may walk for miles between sunset and sunrise, patrolling a home range in which they know every trail, resting place, and feeding ground of their prey. Often they prowl near waterholes and other places where prey gathers, waiting for an opportunity to strike.

Leopards live inAfrica and parts of Asia. They are one of the stealthiest big cats. A leopard often studies its prey’s movement froma distance and then silently creeps close to cut it off in an ambush.
