With 145 clubs opening and 139 clubs closing, there was a net gain of six this year. This compares to a net gain of 21 clubs in 2022 and a net loss of 34 in 2021.

Overall, private club numbers are up by 4 since 2022; this includes the net loss of 139 closed clubs and the loss of clubs no longer offering public access plus the net gain of 145 new clubs and additional clubs that have been added due to our ever-expanding coverage of the UK market (the majority are small independent clubs).
