MISERICORDIA

Dear Friends, Good evening and welcome to the Misericordia Women’s League 2025 Heart of Gold – Turning Green into Gold. On this special evening, our hearts are filled with gratitude. It brings to life a year’s worth of effort to celebrate

Misericordia’s children and adults and the confidence and faith we share in their future at Misericordia Home. How blessed we are to be witness to the good work and generous support of our Women’s League and their many friends brought together through the Heart of Gold tonight. Their devotion has not wavered for 2 9 years. If anything, they have doubled down, working harder, sharing our mission, and bringing more friends into the fold of our Misericordia Family. This year the Heart of Gold was sold out by mid-January, with a waiting list of those who wanted to attend! The women of the League have truly established an evening not to be missed: one that attendees look forward to all year. I would like to especially thank our outstanding Women’s League President Stephanie Clark and event chairpersons Tina Dillon, Kelly Coyne and Irene Costello for their extraordinary care and dedication in creating this amazing night. Along with their creative and talented Benefit Committee, they have given their time and talents to bring their vision to life. Tonight is possible because of this dynamic group of women! It is with a full heart that I share my happiness in the League’s 2025 Heart of Gold Award honoree choice: Dr. Dennis and Lois (Lo) Gates. I can think of no better couple to receive this beautiful recognition. I am fortunate to have been blessed with many giving, loving and brilliant people to work beside throughout my life, but Lois and Dennis are special to me. Long ago, they merged their work, family and Misericordia lives into one big, beautiful adventure. They believe with all their hearts that our children and adults deserve the best lives possible, and they continue to make that happen. Although Lois has announced her retirement, I know she and Dennis will always be close by, sharing our mission and doing what they can to help. The day I met Lois Catinella my life forever changed. When Dennis joined in, it was as if he had always been there. How blessed I have been and how blessed we all are to have them in our lives. Please join me in thanking Dr. Dennis and Lois Catinella Gates for giving so much of their life to Misericordia. Thank you again to the Women’s League for hosting this night for Misericordia’s children and adults. With you at our side we are unstoppable in achieving our goals. I ask you to keep Misericordia in your prayers. You remain in mine always. God’s blessings on you and yours
