AG’s number 1 facing brick benefits from advanced concrete enhancements.

AG – ONE OF THE UK AND IRELAND’S MOST INNOVATIVE PAVING AND BUILDING PRODUCTS COMPANIES – ANNOUNCES UPGRADE OF BEST-SELLING WOODWARD BRICK… Bestseller gets anEnduur 1 upgrade

A G’s Woodward Fine Cast Facing Brick has now been enhanced with Enduur 1, an advanced concrete technology that delivers an impressive range of product benefits, from increased strength, durability and UV resistance to a lower carbon footprint and advanced hydrophobic performance. The recently launched range taps into the company’s strong track record and experience in the development of innovative concretes that stretches back some 60 years. AG’s Woodward Brick with Enduur comes in 10 unique colours and both smooth (sharp) and antique (rumbled) textures. Woodward has been designed with a depression on the top face – commonly known as a frog – which has been specifically made to improve buildability and stability. The hollow depression reduces environmental impact as the indentation in the brick saves on materials. This also reduces the weight of the brick, making it easier to handle.

“…the newWoodwardwithEnduur range is especially suited toprivate developers and housing associations.”

Stephen Acheson, AG CEO, believes the newWoodward with Enduur range is especially suited to private developers and housing associations. “We know from our experience in these sectors that any product used needs to be aesthetically attractive and technically robust,” Stephen said. “Given the major growth being experienced in house-building throughout the UK and Ireland we believe Woodward is an attractive, durable option for those seeking a solution which ticks all the boxes and has less environmental impact than standard house bricks.” AG’s Woodward Brick, along with the majority of its products, is manufactured from locally sourced aggregates and graded to its precise requirements. AG uses a range of recycled materials including reclaimed materials from its own Washplant. The manufacturing process is also much less energy intensive than that of traditional house bricks. AG facing bricks cure naturally due to their inherent properties through an

exothermic reaction and have no need to be baked in kilns at over one thousand degrees 24/7. Established 60 years ago, AG is a third generation, family-owned business that now employs more than 230 people at eight locations across the UK and Ireland.
