Gleeds firms upBuilding Surveying services
G leeds’ Belfast office has appointed Barry McDermott to its Building Surveying team. Barry brings over 15 years of experience and will lead the local Building Surveying department, expanding its capability and significantly contributing to its growth strategy. Barry joins the team as Associate Director of Building Surveying, following an established career in the industry. His aim is to strengthen the team and grow the presence of the Building Surveying department across Ireland. Gleeds was formed in 1885, as one of the first independent practices specialising in quantity surveying services. Over the years, the company has diversified and expanded to become a leading global property and construction consultancy, while retaining its independence. Gleeds employs over 1,900+ staff within 73 offices worldwide, and has the scale, strength and expertise to successfully manage the most complex schemes on a global basis. The firm’s 130+ years of experience span numerous sectors and disciplines, bringing a diverse capability and specialist knowledge to each and every project and providing solutions for every stage of the construction and property lifecycle. First opening in Northern Ireland over four years ago, Gleeds has grown its Quantity Surveying, Cost Management and Project Management team.
With the firm’s recent strategic expansion in Ireland, there are further plans to grow its building surveying services which offers specialist services including, project management, contract administration, employer’s agents, building and acquisition surveys, professional services, planned maintenance, repair and refurbishment.
