Defense Acquisition Research Journal ( Defense ARJ ) is a scholarly peer-reviewed journal dedicated to all aspects of the defense acquisition process. Defense ARJ is inviting professionals and scholars involved with or interested in the defense acquisition process to submit articles for the 2025 Defense ARJ print year. We welcome submissions describing original research or case histories from all acquisition career fields and phases of the acquisition life cycle—the conceptualization, innovation, initiation, design, testing, contracting, production, deployment, logistics support, modification, and disposal of weapons and other systems, supplies, or services (including construction) needed by the DoD or intended for use to support military missions. Articles of 5,000 words or fewer appear in both print and digital publications. Articles of 5,000 to 10,000 words will be considered for digital publication only.
