American Legion Post 1 is looking to revamp its website to improve its overall user experience, provide current and relevant content, and increase engagement from members and the community. Additionally, Post 1 seeks to monetize its events and activities by integrating opportunities for fundraising directly through the website. This proposal outlines a plan to achieve these objectives while ensuring the website is modern, functional, and aligned with Post 1's mission.
Objectives:
Update the Website Content and Visuals Remove outdated photos and replace them with high-quality, current images that reflect the spirit and mission of the American Legion. Update text and event descriptions to ensure relevance and accuracy. Provide better navigation for members to easily access important information such as events, news, and services. Monetize Events and Activities Integrate features for online event registration and ticket sales.

Add donation options for individuals and groups to contribute to Post 1’s initiatives. Promote sponsorship opportunities for events on the website. Enhance User Experience and Engagement Improve the website’s design and user interface to create a more professional and welcoming space for both members and visitors. Increase interactivity with a member login area, news updates, and interactive calendars.

Design and Layout Modernized, Clean Design: A fresh, contemporary design that aligns with the American Legion’s values and creates a sense of community and pride. Responsive Design: Ensuring the website is mobile-friendly and displays well on all devices, especially since many users may access it from smartphones or tablets. Updated Photos and Graphics: Replacing outdated or low-quality images with current, high-resolution photos representing the local Post, events, and activities. Content Update Event Calendar: A user-friendly, easy-to-navigate calendar displaying upcoming events, fundraisers, and community engagements. Events can be categorized by type (e.g., social gatherings, memorial services, community outreach). News Section: A blog-style section that highlights recent news, member achievements, and any updates from the American Legion. This section will keep the website dynamic and encourage regular visits. Veterans Resources: A dedicated space for local veterans to access support services, events, and helpful resources specific to their needs. Monetization Features Online Event Registration: A secure system for users to sign up for events directly through the website. This includes ticket purchases, RSVPs, and options for individuals or groups to contribute. Event Donations: Integrating a donation page where users can contribute to specific events, programs, or the post in general. This could include options for one-time donations or recurring monthly donations.

Sponsorship Pages: A section dedicated to event sponsorships, allowing local businesses or individuals to sponsor events or donate in exchange for exposure and recognition on the site. Fundraising Campaigns: Integration of easy-to-use tools for running fundraising campaigns. Member Engagement Private Member Area: A secure login section for members, allowing access to exclusive content such as meeting minutes, newsletters, and important updates. Membership Signup and Renewal: A simple interface for new members to join Post 1 and for existing members to renew their membership. Event Volunteer Signups: Opportunities for members to sign up to volunteer at events directly through the website.

Phase 1: Discovery & Planning (1-2 Weeks) Finalize the scope of updates and design preferences. Gather current photos, content, and other materials needed for the website. Create a content calendar for news and updates. Phase 2: Website Design & Development (4-6 Weeks) Develop the new design and layout, incorporating feedback from the American Legion. Integrate the event calendar, donation system, member area, and other features. Test the website across different devices to ensure responsiveness and functionality. Phase 3: Content Integration & Launch (2-3 Weeks) Upload updated photos and content. Finalize event registration and fundraising capabilities. Conduct user acceptance testing to ensure everything works smoothly. Phase 4: Ongoing Maintenance & Support Provide ongoing support to update the website regularly and fix any issues. Offer additional services like analytics, SEO optimization, and performance improvements.
Budget Estimate:
Design and Development Costs: (This includes website design, development, and integration of all features) 500.00 to start. Ongoing Maintenance: Includes security updates, minor content changes, and technical support. Monetization Features Integration: Event registration, donation setup, and sponsorship pages. We will promote Event Space and Market for 15% of Event Registration as compensation for the Marketing work done. Magazine Ad Pages and networking promotions will be offered for FREE as an added bonus for working with our agency. Our signature magazine, “Entrepreneurs In The Spotlight,” gets massive traffic and shows in Google searches because of the Press Releases we issue. News goes on Google, Yahoo, CBS, Fox, and NBC’s digital feeds.
Compensation Total:
500.00 to start with website design and development along with event space planning. 15% of Event Registration as compensation for monthly updates to the website, regular marketing and advertising of event space. ****As with all of our clients, there is no ongoing obligation beyond your decision to conclude our collaboration. Should the American Legion Raleigh Post 1 choose to end the partnership, there is no binding contract with JB Tyler Marketing & Consulting, LLC. We will end the partnership immediately, upon request. That said, we’re confident you’ll be pleased with the final outcome.

Revamping the website of American Legion Post 1 will provide a fresh, modern look while enhancing functionality for both members and visitors. The integration of online event registration, donations, and fundraising opportunities will help generate additional revenue to
support Post 1’s programs and initiatives. This website upgrade will help the Post build stronger relationships within the community and ensure its long-term sustainability.
