Hola Sober
Words of Wisdom From Hola Sober Sisters VILLAGE VOICES
Lifespan: It's not about Length, it's about Width How wide are my arms to hug people I love or just accept others that I don't even know? How wide open are my neural pathways to allow new ideas to help manage my daily ups and downs? How wide open is my peripheral vision to see what's on either side and not just what's in front of me? How wide open is my mind when it comes to tamping down my ego and allowing my true self to emerge? How wide open is my commitment to fit in one more sober hour, one more sober day, one more sober year? When I call on my Divine Source the Universe and ask for guidance, how wide open are my arms stretched to receive what I know will be given? Life is about Width, not Length. What difference does it make how many years I have existed or continue to live if I haven't wrapped my wide open arms around my loved ones, my community, my small world? Because I didn't understand the importance of Width, I lived a shallow life. But now I fear that my arms are not wide enough to hold all that I want, all that I dream. Is this true? No, it's not true! Well, my Friend, if you join me, together our arms will stretch and wrap around so much more, so many people we can love. Grab my hand...here we go! Love Carol
