Listing of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Wildlife Species of Special Concern http://www.ncwildlife.org/Portals/0/Conserving/documents/protected_species.pdf Following the requirements set forth in GS 113 Article 25, the Nongame Wildlife Advisory Committee (NWAC) convenes a Scientifc Council of species experts to identify species that are at risk of extirpation from the state and need to be included on a list of protected animals.
