4. ANATOMY OF A THREAT RISK ASSESSMENT (TRA) REPORT: Analysis Results
The model also looks at the area surrounding the AOI using a 5 km and 12 km buffer.
This information is included in the report for each HUC12 that the AOI crosses.
A larger Neighborhood area will cross more HUC12s.
More threats can occur in the larger area.
The occurrence rating indicates the 7 threats occur only in a portion of all the HUC12s in the AOI.
NOTE:
A similar summary is produced for a larger 12 km Neighborhood. Results will include a larger number of sub-watersheds (HUC12s) in the analysis, as well as potentially more threats. The Occurrence Rating will be based on statistics for these additional areas. The Occurrence and Severity ratings should be interpreted using the 0.0 to 1.0 scale shown in Figure 7, where 0.0 – 0.5 is a low to medium threat and 0.5 – 1.0 is a medium to high threat .
