JAMES TOOMEY Longtime 29 Belower James Toomey from Mount Wolf, Pennsylvania, keeps making his ’80 Chevy Camaro nicer, but he has big plans and twins on the way. James’ dad bought the Z28 from a swap meet as a father/son project for the two. James has straightened out the rusty blue body with more work to come, he slipped in a JEGS Performance Chevy 350 backed up by a Saginaw four-speed, he fully rebuilt the suspension, and the tore- up stock interior is untouched. James plans on getting a Vintage Air AC/Heat/Defrost, rewiring the Z28, and finally getting started on the interior.
JOHN TRUCKEY John Truckey out of Green Bay, Wisconsin, teamed up with his whole family to get his ’49 Willys Jeep on the road. The old Jeep has a combo patina/camo paint job and peel, the stock 134ci four-banger with a three-speed manual, a PTO hanging off the front, and slot mags wearing BFG Mud Terrain rubber.
TYLER RAPANT Tyler Rapant from Saratoga Springs, New York, has been going to car shows with his dad (Jerry) his whole life. He got his ’84 Ford Mustang by working all summer at a local farm. The Mustang features a small-block Ford bored to 306ci, a T-5 manual tranny, Weld wheels, and a clean red cloth interior. The Fox-bodied Mustang is a great starting point.
