Dear Lady’s Woman Beside the Man featured Carol Conley, wife of NSRA State Rep Bob Conley. Both were heavily involved in NSRA and were a part of the Championship Auto Race Teams, the sanctioning body for Indy Car racing. Carol oversaw timing and scoring for the team. in getting the state to authorize the NSRA Safety Inspection in place of the state vehicle inspection for street rods. Also, the
NSRA Car Club Division welcomed the Rebel Rodders of Firestone, CO, and the Tampa Knights Rod & Custom Club. & Rods of Kansas had started with only 7 members and 3 years later the club now included over 100 members. The Hanover Street Rod Assoc. held their 23rd Battlefield Rod Run in Arendtsville, PA. Just under 300 cars from 5 nearby states attended. Members check out a rare ’32 Willys owned by John Congelton as he passes through registration.
In Street Sweeper, the biggest weekly cruise night in the Northwest comes to an end in Tacoma, WA. The Tacoma South Center Cruisers staff were honored for their 7 years of dedication to Saturday night cruising. The creeper races for men and ladies were a hit at the 34th Country Run for Fun, one of the oldest rod runs in Ohio, hosted by the Ramblin Relics of Southern Ohio.

SS Visits headed to Borgeson Universal, a company Gerry Zordan had bought in 1982. The company started by making precision universal joints for heavy duty equipment and now produced steering U-joints for specialty cars, with street rodders as his largest group of customers.
The Liberty Street Rods hosted their
18th Annual Rod Run in Winfield, MD. The club also celebrated their 20th anniversary as an organized car club in 2007.
