Psalm 55:17 I. THE MORNING MEETING: “When the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore” (John 21:4). 1. Consecrate the morning to Him and the day will take care of itself. It is when we know that He is so real that we can touch Him, so near that we can whisper to Him, that the day goes well. 2. Notice what Peter saw on the shore that morning. A fire of coals bums only one other place in the New Testament (John 18:18). If this convicted Peter of his denial, the morning meeting with Jesus brought confession and forgiveness. II. THE NOONTIDE MEETING: “It was about the sixth hour” (John 4:6). 1. Jesus said, “Give me to drink.” He has given us much, but we can give something to Him. 2. Jesus said in effect, “If thou knew- est who it is that is speaking to thee.” If you only knew my Sav iour! I have heard Him speak, and He is wonderful. 3. “Go call thy husband.” If there is a sin we have hidden, we need to meet Jesus. III. THE EVENING MEETING: “The same day at evening . . .” (John 20: 19). 1. He was near then, and He is near now. 2. He showed them His hands. Those found me, held me, kept my heart from breaking, and brushed away my tears. ■—adapted from J. WELCOMEPTL! Pocket Testament League Moves on to SOUTHAMERICA God is calling PTL to South America at one of the most critical hours in the history of that vast Continent. 137,000,000 people in 13 countries are poised for a great thrust forward. They look to the future with determination and hope. The forces of democracy in South America are laboring earnestly to solve the difficult political, social and economic problems. But Communist influences are also busily engaged in fomenting discord and revolution. This is an hour when Christians of our country should unitedly pray for a great movement of the Spirit of God in South America as our PTL teams begin a continent-wide Scripture distribution and evangelization campaign in hearty cooperation with the noble army of missionaries and national Christians in each country. Enemies of human freedom and of the Gospel of God's grace may seek to interfere with our teams in this great task. We need your prayers for their safety and your generous support to provide ample supplies of Scriptures in the new Spanish and Portuguese texts.
