PROPHECY (continued) ness by a perfect Sovereign, but quickly led on to behold the eventual triumph. IV. ASSURED TRIUMPH “ They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust. “ The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts. “ Yea, all kihgs shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him. “For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper. “ He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy. “ H e shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight. “And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised. “ There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth. “His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed. “ Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things. “ And blessed be his glorious name for
would survive in the light of the powerful Satanic attacks. More often than not the divine truth has been ridiculed, and the Christian church, a minority, has had to walk in humil ity and subjection. Now at long last we behold the triumph that is assured by God’s prophetic Word. No wonder then that the Holy Spirit refers to the glory of Christ and His kingdom as “ a greater than a Solomon.” Thus from the Revelation of God we see that Christ is the center of creation, prophecy, history and re demption and the only hope of the world, the Jew and the church. When He comes He will set up His throne, and then every tongue will be com pelled to acknowledge Him as King of Kings and Lord of Lords to the utter confusion and shame of those who denied Him. Only then will vio lence, Jew hatred, lawlessness and crime, which have characterized this age, come to an end. Satan will be dethroned and imprisoned, while death, man’s last dread enemy, will be abolished. This old prodigal world will then swing back into its har monious relationship with a loving Heavenly Father. However, we still live in this world and though our night may deepen
ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen. “ The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended.” (Psalm 72:9-20. Here too is presented a remarkable contrast to present world kingdoms. If history teaches anything it certainly has taught that earthly kingdoms have their rise and fall, and that there are constantly the shifting of the bal ance of power, a l t erat i ons and changes that come with the passing of time. Yet here is a kingdom that is unshakeable and eternal, a king dom that begins on earth and is car ried up to heaven; a kingdom that is destined to grow more and more, and possesses an unlimited power of expansiveness and is marked by sta bility. This is also very interesting because other kings may have succes sors, though often the direct succes sion fails; but this King, unlike any other, has no successor, but will reign for ever and ever. These verses (9-20) present one of the most vivid pictures of what it will be like in that day. All through our age the Christian faith and the chil dren of God have been the object of trial, testing and persecution. There have been times when the world may have wondered if the Christian faith

Mr. Robert Jacobson, Sunday school Superintendent says . . . “...Gospel LightLessonshave stimulated agreater interest inthestudyof God’sWord...”
“ After carefully examining various Sunday school lessons we found that G o s p e l L ig h t ’ s complete program of closely-graded Bible lessons offered the best solution to our particular problems. I’m personally convinced that G o s p e l L ig h t Lessons have stimulated a greater interest in the study of God’s Word among all our students . . . and teacher turn-over has been virtually eliminated. “ Our Sunday school has had wonderful results since switching to G o s p e l L ig h t Lessons in 1952 —and our attendance has increased from about 100 to nearly 400.”
