Women’s Day show set for March 6

It will be a great day to be a woman! Cornwall’s International Women’s Day show will once again return to Cornwall, on March 6. Taking place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Cornwall Civic Complex in Salons A, B and C, the show will feature more than 70 exhibitors offering the best and largest selection of products and services targeted especially for women. “We are thrilled with the selection and the quantity of vendors this year,” said Julia Lucio, coordinator for the event. “We are also very happy to announce that SueMcGarvie, of Sex With Sue, is our main guest speaker. We sawher last year at the VankleekHill show and totally had to bring her to Cornwall! Our very own local radiomorning show host, Sue Stewart, fromCorus Entertainment, will also make a guest appearance.” The event, which attracted over 1,000 ladies last year, is expecting more this year,

with a few new things in place to help. The Art and Technique Academy of Hairstyling & Esthetics will be on site giving free hair braiding and curling. Ladies will also be able to get mini manicures, pedicures, massages and readings. Every ticket purchased gets a chance to win the new “Queen for a Day” grand prize, which consists of a Spa Day provided by Above and Beyond, also breakfast, lunch and dinner at local restaurants, flowers from Floral Expressions, an overnight stay in one of Ramada Inn’s beautiful fireplace suites including breakfast the next day, andmuch, much more. “This is a day to empower women, but men are also welcome!” added Lucio. The event will double as a fundraiser for two local organizations catering to women in need. Partial proceeds will be donated to SASS for Women and Maison Baldwin House.
