Find Services for Your Success SLC offers free, easy-to-access services to support your success as a student. No matter what your needs are, we have someone to help. ACCOMMODATIONS AND DISABILITY-RELATED SUPPORT

• If you have an accommodation, the Test Centre provides a distraction-reduced assessment space to take tests. Learn more at stlawrencecollege.ca/accessibility MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT Counsellors on our Wellness team provide a wide range of services to support your mental health. Free services include: • One-on-one counselling addresses concerns related to anxiety, depression, stress, grief, self-esteem, and much more. An Indigenous Counsellor is also available for Indigenous students. • Group counselling and workshops support building skills for stress management, substance use, relationships, and well-being. • Crisis and after-hours supports are a call or text away, available 24/7 through community organizations and digital resources. • Spiritual support is available, regardless of your denomination, faith tradition, or spiritual conviction. Our Spiritual Care Facilitator provides one-on-one support and group huddles. How to Access Mental Health Support Email wellness@sl.on.ca to make a confidential appointment. Accessibility Advisors and Learning Strategists provide individualized support, counselling, and accommodations for your academic and placement needs. High School IEPs An IEP doesn’t automatically transition to college. While it provides background information, it doesn’t confirm the nature of a disability or functional limitation. Our team may need additional documentation to support your accommodation plan.

Free Services for Student Success • The Academic Support Centre offers one-on-one or group tutoring on writing, math, science, essay development, first and second-language English guidance, referencing and citing, and more. • Adaptive Technologists provide AT assessments, review existing AT, and assist with ordering/ purchasing, ongoing training, and troubleshooting. • Indigenous Student Advisors and an Indigenous Counsellor provide support, resources, and opportunities for crafting and cultural activities. • Peer Tutoring can help you understand course content by practicing and reviewing with another student. If you’re doing well in a course, you can apply to be a Peer Tutor and earn money. • Learning Strategists help you with time management, organization, note-taking strategies, effective textbook reading methods, and study practices. • Student Success Facilitators help you adjust to college life and achieve academic and personal goals through learning and study strategies, stress management, and connection to SLC resources.
