The Indigenous Services team provides support throughout your journey at SLC. All self-identified Indigenous students are eligible to access our services; no proof of status or ancestry is required. Find Services for Indigenous Learners

INDIGENOUS STUDENT ADVISORS • Assist with application processes and transition to college. • Provide referrals to services that support your success, including free tutoring, accessibility services, mental health support, an Indigenous Counsellor, and more. • Help you get connected on campus and in your community. • Inform you of social and cultural events, employment opportunities, and other areas of relevance to Indigenous peoples. • Share information about Indigenous bursaries, scholarships, and other funding opportunities. • Listen to your concerns and celebrate your successes! BELONGING AND CONNECTION The Waasaabiidaasamose Indigenous Centre is a welcoming space on each campus for Indigenous students to study, socialize, and participate in cultural activities. SCHOLARSHIPS AND BURSARIES Indigenous Advisors can support your application for awards and funding, including: • SLC Indigenous Student Bursaries. • SLC Student Employment Program opportunities. • External funding opportunities such as Indspire Building Brighter Futures Bursaries, Awards, and Scholarships. • Navigating the Indigenous Bursaries Search Tool. FACILITATED ADMISSION Facilitated admission for Indigenous students considers applications to highly competitive programs while placing less weight on background academic performance. If you apply in this pathway, you must: • Meet the minimum entrance requirements for your program choice(s) to be considered for a highly competitive program. • Complete the Facilitated Admission for Indigenous Student form by February 1. • Complete your application to St. Lawrence College with all transcripts and proof of enrolment through ontariocolleges.ca by February 1. • Provide required documentation/proof of Indigenous ancestry.
