What drew you to participate in this? I've always liked the idea of exploring the world, having friends from different countries, and learning new languages. Going to Costa Rica had that abroad experience plus being able to learn about sustainability, which is a huge thing for me, because I have been a vegetarian for 16 years now. What did you learn? I learned how to take better care of our planet. We had interactive experiences everyday with the environment, such as cleaning rivers, planting stevia, having classes about natural reserves, and learning how coffee is organically planted in Costa Rica. In a few words, how would you What would you tell someone considering this opportunity? Go for it! It will be the best experience of your college life, will change the way you see the world and maybe you'll even come back speaking Spanish and dancing bachata. What was the biggest takeaway related to your future career? After the trip, I graduated, got a job, and started applying an environmentally friendly mindset to our products, and giving sustainable ideas of how we can improve customer experience. My personal lifestyle also changed a lot and I am more conscious about plastic in my daily routine. describe your experience? Magical, life-changing, self-growth.
