sionals, and the community at large. Evidence of such is the 2023 election of Brother Dr. Kevin W. Bailey to AFA’s Board, brothers’ participation in AFA’s programs, workshops, events, and attendance at AFA Annual Meetings. Brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity’s presence and involvement continued with the 2022 AFA Annual Meeting, the members of the Noble Clan of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. represented well the Fraternity’s motto of “achievement in every field of endeavor”, which was evidenced by the overwhelming number of brothers attending this this year’s Annual Meeting. An abundant of educational sessions for personal and pro- fessional development was offered. These sessions provided opportunities for campus-based and national headquarters professionals to meet face-to-face to discuss concerns and col- laboratives that would assist in the retention of undergraduate chapters located on college and university campuses. The Advisor Chairmen representing all twelve (12) prov- inces, ad hoc members, and the Leadership Staff of Kappa Al- pha Psi Fraternity, Inc. were noticed throughout the meeting as they participated in social gatherings, the opening and clos- ing ceremonies and workshops that were based on a common goal of addressing and sharing best practices for tracking and monitoring activities sponsored by fraternities and sororities on college campuses. A major component of the meeting was that of addressing legal issues that surface as a result of hazing activities and how to handle lawsuits resulting from hazing incidents. The Fraternity’s overarching objective and affiliation with AFA is to ensure that members of the National Chapter Advi- sors’ Training Cluster are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and information needed for overseeing, teaching, and training the undergraduate advisors that carry out the mandates as out- lined in the Fraternity’s Advisor’s Manual and the Membership Training Academy (MTA) program. In their Advisors’ Training Workshops, which are typically held during the C. Rodger Wilson Leadership Conference and the Province Polemarch’s Leadership Retreat, members of the Chapter Advisors’ Train- ing Cluster use the Train-the-Trainer Model for teaching and sharing information from AFA within their respective Prov- inces undergraduate chapter advisors.
