in Port Huron, MI. After graduating from high school, King attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. Simulta- neously, his parents and siblings relocated to New York City. Eventually, the “Big Apple” became his second home. King earned a B.A. in business administration and an MBA in accounting and strategic planning. In 1974, King began his professional career as an auditor with Arthur Andersen & Co. He passed the CPA exam later that year and received his license in 1975. In 1976, he became an audit manager with a local African American-owned CPA firm (Barrow, Coleman, Aldridge, and Co.). In 1978, a former client, Total Healthcare, Inc., became a licensed health maintenance organization (HMO), and King joined the firm. In 1982, Total Healthcare named King executive direc- tor of Total Health Care of Detroit Inc. Over the years, Isadore has served on numerous boards of directors as a board member and officer, including Bank of Ann Arbor. From 2007 to 2017, King was president and CEO of Integrated Care Alliance, LLC, a managed behavioral healthcare company serving individuals with developmental disabilities. A Lifetime Member of Kappa Alpha Psi, King was a long-standing member of the Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti-Inkster (MI) Alumni Chapter, where he served as polemarch and vice polemarch. King helped estab- lish and grow the chapter’s Kappa Foun- dation, 501(c)3. King also was a member of Sigma Pi Phi (the Boule). Brother Isadore J. King is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Linda; three daughters, Adelia, Khalila (Jona- than Richardson), and Shayla (Marcus Moore); his three granddaughters, Zori and Nova Richardson and Amaya Moore; and two brothers, Carl and Duane King. He is also survived by many cousins, friends and extended family. King was preceded in death by two siblings (Ray- mond King and Cynthia Byrnes).

of laws to him. Glover won numerous awards and accolades for his work and was inducted into the Wilberforce Uni- versity Hall of Fame in 1999 and the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame in 2015. The U.S. Air Force awarded Glover a medal recognizing him for his outstand- ing civilian service. Both houses of the Ohio State Congress drafted resolutions recognizing Glover’s life and work. In 2004, Glover established the Waverly Glover Scholarship Fund through the African-American Community Fund (AACF) of The Dayton Foundation. “I grew up poor, not knowing how I was going to get to college,” Waverly Glover said. “I was very fortunate that the GI Bill helped me obtain my college degree. I want my scholarship fund to make it easier for others to do the same.” The scholarship assists African- American students pursuing a business or accounting degree at Central State or Wilberforce universities. Brother Waverly Glover is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Lillian Glover, and brothers, Frank D. Glover, Harry H. Glover, Arnette D. Glover, and Wanda P. Dunson. He is survived by twin daughters, Pamela M. Glover and Paula M. Glover; granddaughter, Jayla McLemore; a loving sister, Anita Clark; and several nieces and nephews.

Taylor J. Perry, Jr. 1938-2021 Educator, U.S. Army

Taylor J. Perry, Jr. (Tau 1957), 82, entered the Chapter Invis- ible on Friday, July 9, 2021. He was born on December 24,

1938, in Twiggs County, GA, to Taylor Sr. and Elouise (née Brown) Perry. He was raised in Cincinnati, OH, where he attended public schools where he gradu- ated from high school in 1956. He earned an athletic scholarship at historic West Virginia State College (now University), where he played football and boxed. Perry achieved "All-Conference" guard and linebacker on the football team for two years and was a light heavyweight boxing champion for four years. In 1960, he enlisted in the U. S. Army, where he again became involved in ath- letics and won the "2nd Army" and "All Army" Boxing Championship in 1961-62. During his tour of duty, he boxed in Eu- rope to provide entertainment to troops. Perry played semi-professional football in New Jersey and New York City in the early 1960s before returning to West Virginia in 1968 to complete his B.A. degree. He later earned a master's and a doctorate in educational psychology from West Virginia University. He began his professional career in the Berkeley (WV) County school system in 1980 as a guidance counselor at Mus- selman High School. In 1982, he was promoted to Martinsburg High School Assistant Principal. In 1986, he was promoted to Berkeley County Schools As- sistant Superintendent of Pupil Services. In retirement in 2001, Perry mentored students to prepare for the SAT/ACT college entrance exams. He was Berkeley County Director of the WV Achieve- ment Project's Advanced Placement (AP) program. He recruited and mentored low-
