The Story of Kappa Alpha Psi is Integral to the US

TIMELINE: A LOOK BACK THROUGH THE KAPPA ALPHA PSI ® JOURNAL

...One thing which has been in our fraternity's favor all through its history, has been the firm foundation upon which Kappa was founded and upon which every Kappa man can build. It was the solid foundation of a house founded upon a rock and not built upon sand. Thus when the storms raged, when the winds blew, when the rains descended, the house of Kappa kept on standing; STRONG and TALL. Our solid foundation is embodied in the fact that there has never been a clause in our constitution which restricted our mem- bership on the basis of race, creed, religion or color and our guiding principle....For you see our society and nation stand at the forking in the road; our very nation—this beloved land of ours—faces possible decline and demise unless it finds the way to save its sole and rediscover the promise embodied in the American dream.
