Greene as Director Emeritus During the annual meeting of the Foundation, the Board of Directors elected Brother Darryl Berry as its new- est Board member. An entrepreneur and senior executive, Berry has a proven track record of expertise, leadership,
ing his 30-year corporate career, he has served as CEO of the Capital Restau- rant Group, LLC, and co-owner of Berry Enterprises, LLC, in addition to holding various positions such as national vice president of sales and operations, re- gional vice president, district manager, sales trainer, and as a sales professional at several Fortune 100 companies. Berry joined Kappa Alpha Psi Fra- ternity, Incorporated in 1980 through the Alpha Kappa Chapter. He is a Life Member of the organization, a member of the Foundation’s K-100 and Million Dollar Club, a member of the Decatur Kappa Alpha Psi Alumni Chapter, a former Polemarch of the Stone Moun- tain Alumni Chapter, and co-founder of the Metro Atlanta Coalition of Kappa (M.A.C.K). Berry is a previous recipient of the Kappa 100 Entrepreneur of the Year Award. He is also the chairman of the AK Foundation, primarily consisting of Alpha Kappa alumni. His community service extends to his alma mater, where he serves as a member of the North Carolina Central University Alumni Association, held positions at the Alpha Kappa Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and is Chairman of the AK Foundation primar- ily consisting of Alpha Kappa Alumni Brothers from North Carolina Central University. “We are excited to have Director Berry on the Board,” said President Dubose. “Director Berry has been a longtime supporter of the Foundation and a strong advocate for the work that we do. To have him at the table will be
an asset to the Foundation as he will bring his business acumen and commit- ment to empowering young adults to his service on the Board.” Brother Robert (Bob) L. Greene has served on the Foundation Board of Directors since 2018, most recently leading the Foundation’s K-100 program. Since his time on the Board of Direc- tors, Greene has provided invaluable financial advice and expertise to the
organization. Green is the President of the National Asso- ciation of Investment Companies (NAIC) and has been instru- mental in assisting the Foundation in growing its financial
assets. He will now lend his counsel as a member of the Board of Director Emerti, a distinguished group of advisors to and supporters of the Foundation. “I am happy that Bob is continuing with the Foundation as an Emeritus member,” said President Dubose. “The intellect and talent that Greene has shared with the Foundation throughout these years has been outstanding and we would miss that knowledge without his participation with the Foundation.
