STEPHEN FERGUSON MRICS Stephen has over 20 years’ experience in both Quantity Surveying and Project Management and has recently joined Hood McGowan Kirk LLP as an associate to further strengthen its combined project management and quantity surveying offering. Stephen excels at first defining the client’s value requirements then steering multi-disciplinary teams toward efficiently achieving them. Stephen’s experience spans both the public and private sector, with a focus on commercial office, education and residential. His uniquely balanced and considered approach is borne out of experience operating at a senior level in both Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor capacities, and a range of repeat clients with challenging demands can attest to the efficacy of his approach to cost control and project management.

JAMES GORDON MRICS, NECREG James has over 25 years’ experience in both Project Management and Quantity Surveying and has recently joined Hood McGowan Kirk LLP as an associate to manage the rapidly growing project management division. James’ approach to project management is underpinned by a profound understanding of commercials. Clients benefit from an informed, technically adept approach that bridges strategy, delivery and technical requirements. James’ experience spans both the public and private sector with a focus on commercial office, education, retail, residential, industrial and mixed use. James specialises in delivery of agile, flexible workspace and move management for clients with complex and evolving operational and phasing requirements. James is also a NEC Accredited Project Management Professional. Key Project - Abbey Community College, £25m James’ appointment coincided with the new £25m state of the art Abbey Community College development. Acting as the NEC PM lead, James has managed the full ICT through both the feasibility and concept design stages and is currently assisting in the business case approval process. As part of HMK’s ethos to provide continuity of service and high level of expertise to all clients, James will project manage this scheme to post completion.
