SHIPPING THE EUROAMERICAN WAY With so many different carriers, choosing a shipping method is just as important as the plants you buy. Our logistics department has worked hard to develop cost effective options and will help determine the best method for every shipment. EuroAmerican first launched Freight Option Plus® nine years ago. Our logistics, shipping and production departments have spent almost a decade fine tuning and developing an efficient system with the goal of keeping rising transportation costs as low as possible for you. EUROAMERICAN PALLET PROGRAM The pallet program runs Week 1 through Week 22. This is the best option for large orders; a full pallet can hold up to 144 trays. We monitor all trucks ensuring that an optimum temperature of 55°F is maintained at all times. These efforts combined with efficient routing practices ensure limited exposure to extreme temperatures. Pallet Program Benefits: • Climate Controlled Trucks - The climate in the trailer will be maintained at optimal temperatures and humidity levels to assure top quality material. • Daytime Deliveries - We will schedule truck routing to facilitate deliveries during standard business hours. • Delivery Schedules by State/Region - Our regional delivery schedule is based off of five years of historic weekly pallet shipments to each state. • Minimums - There is no minimum shipment size, however we recommend that a shipment contain at least 40 trays for cost effectiveness. • Fuel Surcharges - Everything possible will be done to avoid fuel surcharges. However, EuroAmerican reserves the right to apply fuel surcharges if gas prices become abnormally high. • Minimal Product Handling - With this direct shipping method, product will only be handled during pallet loading and unloading. EUROAMERICAN TRUCKLOAD & LTL CONSOLIDATED SERVICES FOR REGIONAL CUSTOMERS Staying innovative and looking towards the future, EuroAmerican has developed a logistics department dedicated to our industry. We have built a consolidation service that allows our broker network to combine customers’ EuroAmerican shipments with other shipments from various suppliers throughout California. These combined
shipments will be loaded and delivered via EuroAmerican trucks. This program will offer both full truck-load and partial truckload services. With temperature controlled trucks, Air-Ride equipment and daytime deliveries this program will prove to be a success ensuring quality of all shipments to our customers’ doors. Please speak with your Regional Sales Manager or feel free to contact the Director of Transportation at EuroAmerican for a complete list of participating suppliers or for further details. DOMESTIC AIR SERVICE EuroAmerican will be discontinuing Domestic Air Service due to the complexity of TSA requirements, lack of Airline services and the difficulties surrounding the airline industry. EuroAmerican will however continue to offer Domestic Air Service to the States of Alaska and Hawaii in order to offer an alternative to FedEx/UPS. Shipments will be invoiced at a rate of $45.00/per box plus box charges. FEDEX & UPS OVERNIGHT Both FedEx’s and UPS’s Standard Overnight service is a quick delivery option. Standard Overnight means product will be delivered to the customer the following day. If an early arrival time is needed, an upgrade to Priority Overnight should be considered. Please note that FedEx may consider a delivery address to be in a rural area or beyond its normal delivery range. In such cases, customers should expect that Overnight service may take one to two days longer than expected (please contact us for an exact date). Customers should expect delivery by 4:30pm on the actual delivery date. FEDEX & UPS 2-DAY This option provides our customers with an economical way to ship their orders. This two-day service is scheduled to be delivered the second business day. Please note that FedEx may consider a delivery address to be in a rural area or beyond its normal delivery range. In such cases, customers should expect that 2-Day service may take one to two days longer than expected (please contact us for an exact date). Customers should expect delivery by 4:30pm on the actual delivery date.
