The Health and Social Care industry is vast with the NHS employing more than 1.5 million people for over 350 different roles nationally. It is a rewarding sector and your choice of career can make a real difference. The T Level in Health (Adult Nursing) will cover a broad range of topics to help you develop a strong foundation of knowledge and skills that can be applied to a wide range of roles in the Health Sector. WHAT WILL I LEARN? You will develop a broad understanding of the health industry and cover a range of topics including: Ï working within the health and science sector Ï health, safety, and environmental regulations Ï managing information and data Ï principles of good scientific and clinical practice Ï core science concepts including the structure of cells, tissues and large molecules, genetics, microbiology, and immunology Ï understanding the healthcare sector Ï providing person-centred care Ï supporting health and wellbeing Ï further knowledge of both human anatomy and physiology and of diseases and disorders Ï infection prevention and control.
In addition to the core content, you will study the occupational specialism:

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Students require at least two grade 5s and three grade 4s or above at GCSE, including a grade 5 in science and at least a grade 4 in maths and English. A successful interview is also required.
