In the heart of downtown St. Thomas is a gem of a restaurant serving up the best of authentic Thai cuisine. Walk through the doors of Lotus Thai and you’ll be instantly captivated by the many Thai-inspired décor pieces, artwork, and details that make this restaurant truly transportive. Lotus Thai is casual enough for a quick lunch mid-week business lunch, but special enough for a date, a family dinner, or any celebration. We decided to visit the restaurant for lunch for the purposes of this review. I ordered the All Day Special, which came with two spring rolls, two crispy wontons, and (inmy case) the pad thai. (The special is also available with Thai cashew, curry, chiang mai, or fried rice as the main course). My dining partner ordered the mango chicken.

perfectly accented by delicious pieces of ripe, sweet mango. The sweet-and- savoury combination was absolute culinary magic, and it’s a dish we’ll be having again, without question.

Lotus Thai is located at 295 Talbot St. They are open six days per week (closed Sundays) and they offer both dine-in and take-out options.
