Coming back to treatment after a major relapse can be a humbling experience for an addict or alcoholic, but it has paid off for Partlow. Sixty-one-year-old Wayne Partlow's journey from addiction to long-term recovery could be called a testimony to The Power of Trying Again. The Cherry Hill native has had two treatment experiences at A Step Forward – in 2002 and again in 2011. After years of addiction to cocaine and heroin, Partlow entered Gaudenzia treatment center in 2002 for a 35-day stay, then became one of A Step Forward's rst clients for outpatient care and transitional housing. By attending regular Narcotics Anonymous meetings, he was able to remain clean and sober for more than ve years, until a relapse sent him back to living on the streets.
