Fossil Farms welcomes people at their events barn for corporate events, wellness retreats, weddings, reunions, and more. The newly built farm is dedicated to events and even has a full commercial kitchen with full-time chef, Brad Sanders. The events barn is two storeys high and can accommodate up to 60 people at a time. Corporate events and any type of meetings for educational purposes are encouraged at Fossil Farms. “Getting away from the office and being in a different environment can be helpful,” Robertson says. “People usually benefit from being off-site to think differently, to be more creative, and to get to know each other better.” Robertson also emphasizes that they would like to focus more on wellness retreats in the future. Noting the struggles people have faced over the last few years, especially from loneliness or isolation resulting from the pandemic restrictions, they want to help in any way they can. “We want to help people put on wellness retreats. It feels good for us to be able to offer that and work with people while they are here. They can get away and be out in nature.” “ People usually benefit from being off-site to think differently, to be more creative, and to get to know each other better. ” Coming soon to Fossil Farms Oceanside Retreat is an outdoor, woodfired kitchen. “It will be an experience from farm to table,” Robertson said. They will be using food grown from the fields and the greenhouses on the property in the restaurant. As well as sourcing from local farmers when necessary. 100 SPOTLIGHT MAGAZINE ON BUSINESS MAGAZINE • VOL 23 ISSUE 5
