Our History from the Beginning
Lagunitas resident, Jennifer Olson Spindell, writes: “The schoolhouse was the first for the Valley; it is located at West Cintura Avenue (across from Charles Lane, near the Lagunitas Store). The schoolhouse is now a private home, where our family resides. The schoolhouse over the years has been added on to; however, the original portion of the schoolhouse is still intact.” Built in 1904, this is the schoolhouse that is pictured in the far right of the Del Mué mural at the Center.
