J. Richard Troll Scholarship Recipients Named The Foundation for Packaging Education and AICC, The Independent Packaging Association, have announced the winners of the 2023-2024 Troll Scholarship. This scholarship program, established to honor the legacy of the late Mr. J. Richard Troll, recognizes outstanding students pursuing studies in packaging engineering or related packaging fields at the un- dergraduate and graduate levels. The 2023-2024 recipients of the Troll Scholarship are as follows: Undergraduate Student Recipients : • First Place : Bryanna Thobe, Clemson University • Second Place : Nicole Kelly, Michigan State Uni- versity • Third Place : Rayna Farkas, California Polytech- nic State University Graduate Student Recipients : • First Place : Jack White, Western Michigan Uni- versity • Second Place : Prudence Villanueva, Toronto Metropolitan University Trivium’s Buying Green Report Wins Award Trivium Packaging has received the dotCOMM Award in the Website Creativity / Web Design cate- gory for its 2023 Buying Green Report. This year’s report, which reveals what consumers think, value, and perceive when it comes to sustain- able packaging, reportedly differs from years prior in its distinct visual design and interactive features. The dotCOMM Awards is an international com- petition honoring excellence in web creativity and digital communication. Trivium is a recipient of dotCOMM’s top award, the Platinum award, which only 17 percent of the more than 2,500 entries received. The dotCOMM Awards are administered and judged by the Associ- ation of Marketing and Communication Profession- als (AMCP). The 2023 Buying Green Report is based on a sur- vey of more than 9,000 consumers across Europe, North America, and South America. The data collected shows the continued evolution of consumers’ attitudes and behaviors related to sustainable packaging, providing insight into con- sumer trends related to packaging sustainability amid a changing world, including the impact of inflation.
