CB Contracts celebrates 40 years in business
Marking its 40-year milestone, CB Contracts is delighted to be celebrating tremendous success with exciting plans in place for many years ahead. Offering a combined solution, the firm delivers an excellent service to its many clients. Its full spectrum of property services, delivered by an expert teams include planning and project works in painting, roofing, flooring, and passive and active fire protection. CB Contracts also provides kitchen and bathroom replacements, multi- disciplinary fabric upgrades, retrofit and energy services, disrepair works, and response and void maintenance contracts.
Founded in 1984, the company has developed from a small painting and decorating business into a super-efficient, hygienic finishes and flooring contractor with an enviable presence in the commercial sector. Established by husband-and-wife team Colin and Ellen Bunting, the company completed its first flooring work in the late 1980s and, by the early 1990s, had progressed into the commercial sector. A decade ago, CB Contracts moved from its base at Knockbracken Road, Belfast to a new location at Sydenham Business Park, where the head office is today flourishing. The opening of a London office in 2016, following a downturn in the
market which hit many throughout the construction sector, further
bolstered its position in GB. Most recently, in 2021, CB
Contracts became part of the Bell Group, the largest family-owned painting business in the UK. Colin Bunting, Operations Director, said, “Becoming part of the Bell Group cemented our future and catapulted us into the social housing sector and, in turn, has secured a work stream in Northern Ireland for many years to come.” The firm’s evolution is a direct result of intelligent observation of working practices, adherence to strict quality control and commitment to getting it right first time, every time.
