LETO/SUMMER Zemun Fest i Gardoš / Zemun Fest and Gardoš A vgust u Beogradu pripada Zemu- nu, gde se paralelno odvijaju dve tradicionalne letnje manifestaci- je na otvorenom. Dok „Leto na Gardošu“ traje tokom celog meseca na letnjoj sceni pored kultne kule, centralni „Zemun Fest“ se održava od 19. do 23. avgusta na Ve- likom trgu i Zemunskom keju. Program uspešno spaja različite umetničke forme, pa posetioce očekuju pozorišne predstave, komedije, izložbe i koncerti regionalnih muzičkih izvođača tik uz Dunav. Poseban akcenat stavljen je na kinematografiju, pa će publika na Velikom trgu imati priliku da pogleda aktuelne filmske premijere u bio- skopu pod vedrim nebom. Ulaz na većinu festivalskih zona i programa je besplatan, što ove lokacije čini ključnim tačkama ve- černjeg kulturnog života u gradu.
A ugust in Belgrade belongs to Ze- mun, where two traditional open- air summer events take place side by side. While “Summer at Gardoš” runs throughout the entire month on the open- air stage next to the iconic tower, the main “Zemun Fest” takes place from 19 th to 23 rd August at Veliki Trg (Great Square) and the Zemun Quay. The programme success- fully merges various art forms, offering
visitors theatrical plays, comedies, exhi- bitions and concerts by regional musical acts right by the Danube. A special em- phasis is placed on cinematography, giv- ing the audience at Veliki Trg the oppor- tunity to watch the latest film premieres in an open-air cinema. T he region’s largest electronic mu- sic festival, “Lovefest” in Vrnjačka Banja, is changing its format this August and will be held over two consec- utive weekends. The first part of the fes- tival, from 7 th to 8 th August, is reserved for performances by global techno and house stars, including Richie Hawtin, Ni- na Kraviz and Louie Vega. The party con- tinues from 14 th to 15 th August, when Jamie Jones, Joseph Capriati, Loco Dice, Pan-Pot and local producer X-Coast ar- rive at the Lake Park. Alongside the night- time programme across several outdoor stages, the festival also retains its signa- ture daytime pool parties at the town’s public bath. This year’s event once again positions Vrnjačka Banja as the hub of the Balkan clubbing scene.
