The New Testament for English Readers

Henry Alford, dean of Canterbury (1810-1871), produced the greatest of his works, T h e G reek N ew T estam ent, in four volumes between 1849 and 1861. It was revised through many editions and became a standard tool for the study of the New Testament. An outgrowth of this work was T h e N ew T estam en t fo r E ng lish R eaders in four volumes in 1868. It contains the substance of the Greek work without the data of use only to Greek students. This great work is now reprinted in a large single volume. Pastors, teachers and students will not want to be without this book. 1942 pages; cloth; Moody Press, Chi cago, 111.; $9.95.
