AWARDS NIGHT

Uni Hill Conference Centre, Bundoora
PRINCIPAL ’ S MESSAGE
Welcome to our inaugural Awards Night. I am delighted and privileged to be able to present the 2022 student award recipients at this prestigious event. Whilst the presentation this year is no more pertinent than in previous years, the expectations of our college community are
changing and we have a responsibility to act in ways that reflect their needs. In doing so, we have adapted the event to correlate with our narrative of strengthening our strong college values, academic rigour, leadership and community partnerships in an environment that befits this auspicious occasion. To the award winners, congratulations! You should be extremely proud of your achievement. Tonight is an opportunity to share and celebrate with members of your family and teachers from our college. In another first, I am very excited that tonight we will announce our first Year 12 Subject Excellence award winners and our first Year 12 Valedictorian of the college. To our community partners, a great college must have strong community partners. For the first time, each of our multiple intelligence awards will be presented by prominent community members, local businesses or long - standing college providers. We are committed to building our extended community family because each connection; enriches our curriculum resources; provides exponential opportunities for student experience; increases our community profile; and, builds high levels of school pride. Your expertise and goodwill extends beyond this presentation but reaffirms that we are not alone in developing the next leaders of our time. To the teachers, the students and our community continue to sing your praises every day. Your desire to keep giving so that your students continue their learning journey is an inspiration to all of us. Tonight is the time to be proud because you have played a critical role in student success. To the Award Night organisers, your vision, passion, collaboration and outstanding efforts in creating this event reflect the development and maturity of the college and, in turn, provides the 2022 award winning recipients with a fond life - long memory of this wonderful evening. I invite you to all enjoy and marvel at our next generation of young people who will influence the world in the most positive ways.
