BIFA Awards

Rules and Guidelines There are a few basic rules that entrants need to abide by. The most important are: • The company must be a BIFA (full or probationary) trading member. • Your submission should detail a relevant service or project that has taken place within the preceding 12-month period (October 2025-October 2026). • Entries will be assessed on the following criteria: innovative ideas, service enhancements offered, benefits for the customer, benefits for the company. • Entries will only be accepted on the official entry form. • Do not include any accompanying documents at this time. • A company may enter a maximum of three categories in each competition year. Each entry must be unique and category specific. Young Freight Forwarder and Apprentice of the Year entries are excluded from this total. • The deadline for receipt of entries is: 11am on Wednesday 7 October 2026. L aunching each year in the summer, the BIFA Freight Service Awards competition is now in its 38th year and continues to attract entries from across the BIFA membership. Companies large, medium and

small, start-ups and those trading for decades all have great stories to tell and are now invited to submit their entries to the 2026 competition. In this article we’ll look at the rules of the competition and the how and why you should enter.

BIFA utilises a network of Regional Representatives around the UK to act as a conduit for the dissemination of information and to seek local Member views on topics of interest. Forthcoming meetings are listed here. All BIFA Members are encouraged to attend their regional meetings, however pre-booking is essential.
