Fine photography with Reenie Marx
the photographer. The pictures were taken on Grand Manan Island in the Bay of Fun- dy. The buoys colors are amazing because they have a history of their own. You can see the paint peeling and revealing an old color. Each fisherman has his own color for his buoys and with time, the buoys pass from one fisherman to another. It’s a history of colors and people at the same time. It’s amazing and I wanted to capture that in a unique way.” Reenie Marx’s reverence for nature and taste for the unseen blurs the lines between photography and painting. VANKLEEK HILL | During the ARTour week- end, photography enthusiasts had the chance to visit the Reenie Marx gallery in Vankleek Hill, an opportunity to meet the artist behind the camera. The artist is known for her fine art photo- graphy style that brings nature to the fore- front and captures the little things that the naked eye often misses. Many will remem- ber her Vankleek Hill old doors series, a po- pular theme for postcards and posters. “What is new and fabulous this year is the Buoys series, which I truly adore,” said
