Which level?
All qualifications are given a level based on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF). They start at entry level and then are numbered from one to eight. At Barnsley College and Barnsley College University Centre, our aim is to get you started at the right level. The table below will help you understand the different qualifications available at each of the levels.

HNC, HTQ, Higher Apprenticeship, Level 4 Diploma or NVQ
Higher Apprenticeship, HTQ, Foundation Degree HND or Level 5 Diploma
Bachelor’s Degree (e.g. BA or BSc) or Degree Apprenticeship Degree, HND
Master’s Degree, Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma or Degree Apprenticeship
