Our Programs
Teen & Young Adult Life Skills
As older teens and young adults grow, preparing them for real-world situations and responsibilities becomes increasingly important—and Teen & Young Adult Life Skills is our response to that need. In this program, participants are paired with older neurotypical teen volunteers and supported by Friendship Circle staff as they engage in hands-on activities that build essential life skills. Each session offers a unique experience, typically involving a community outing where participants practice everyday tasks such as navigating public spaces, handling money, ordering food, or using public transportation—all while having fun and building confidence. Through these meaningful interactions and real-life experiences, teens and young adults gain independence, strengthen their social skills, and develop the tools they need to thrive in everyday life.
