Malaysia has adopted the Global Innovation Index (GII) ranking as a key performance indicator in the Twelfth Malaysia Plan (RMK 12). In the latest RMK 12 mid-term review, Malaysia has set a target of reaching the 30th GII ranking position by 2025. Close coordination and collaboration with relevant ministries and stakeholders is crucial to achieve this target. As a joint secretariat of the Global Innovation Index Inter-Agency Steering Committee (JIPGII), MIGHT has actively supported JIPGII by carrying out policy reviews, analysing GII- related data and engaging with relevant stakeholders.
