3C: MALAYSIA -TURKIYE PROGRAMME PURPOSE
The MY-TR Technology Collaboration Programme is developed to co-create and co-design strategic and value-added technological programmes in the agreed focus areas namely space, aerospace, maritime, and other associated industries. The primary goal is to enhance the capabilities and capacities of both countries involved by leveraging their respective strengths in these sectors. Additionally, the programme aims to serve as a strategic platform for advancing existing bilateral projects and initiating new ones. Currently, ongoing initiatives are:
TÜBİTAK-MIGHT Collaboration 2.0
• Coverage in food security, health, digitalisation, and energy. • The proposed format for this collaboration is in the form of a Global Grand Challenge with a joint-funding by both Malaysia and Turkiye.
Collective Aspirations
• Turkiye and Malaysia responding together to Global Grand Challenges • Development of Muslim Ummah and Brotherhood by showcasing collaborative and co-creation efforts • Exploration into new collaboration opportunities with Turkiye organisations in aerospace and defence
Malaysia-Türkiye, Co-creation Programme
• Coverage in space technology and aerospace. • The co-creation programme will initially focus on two strategic platforms: Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and satellite.
KEY COLLABORATION PARTNERS (R&D & AEROSPACE INDUSTRY)
The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkiye (TÜBİTAK) is a scientific and technological research institution. The goal of this institution is to develop science, technology, and innovation policies and support and conduct research and development in the country.
Turkish Aerospace (TUSAŞ) is a centre of technology in design, development, manufacturing, integration of aerospace systems, modernisation, and after sales support in Turkiye.
