TÜBİTAK - MIGHT Collaboration 2.0 Co-Creation

TECHNOMART MY-TR and Business Mission: Ankara and Istanbul 10-15 July 2023 Its primary mission is to facilitate and promote technological collaboration between organisations from Malaysia and Turkiye. • It was co-organised by MIGHT and TÜBİTAK with the support of the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) and Havelsan, which fostered technological collaboration for companies or organisations from Malaysia and Turkiye • What is TECHNOMART MY-TR ? • TECHNOMART MY-TR provides a unique opportunity for these stakeholders to connect, exchange ideas, and explore potential partnerships. • This platform serves as a bridge, connecting the vibrant high-tech ecosystems of both countries, ultimately contributing to the growth and advancement of both nations’ industries.

MY-TR Technology Collaboration Programme

A Global Grand Challenge 2.0 covering food security, health, digitalisation, and energy MIGHT and TÜBİTAK to facilitate various collaborations between MY and TR organisations and research institutions. Two projects were identified, and the bilateral transnational research has given out RM700,000 grants for each project for the duration of two years. TÜBİTAK will be matching the same amount for the two projects.

The main undertakings are as follows: •

Identifying key areas (product and technology) under the three pillars of Human Capital, Technology, and Industry Development Identifying potential partners from Turkiye Identifying potential partners or consortium partners from Malaysia Facilitating capability development programmes between partners from Malaysia and Turkiye

This specific programme focuses on collaboration between the CMU and Turkiye Industries. It is structured to align with industry needs and objectives as follows: • To ensure the industry will have a constant supply of skilled professionals and industry-ready talents • To leverage each other’s (academia and industry) expertise and experience Talent Development Programme between the Consortium of Malaysian Universities (CMU) and Turkiye Industries

The projects are: “Smart Nanocrystal Enabled Light-Emitting Diodes Lighting for Sustainable Controlled Environment Agriculture” •

Turkiye Partners: UNAM-Bilkent University and NANOME Malaysian Partners: Xiamen University Malaysia and Kairos Agriculture Sdn Bhd

Objectives •

Turkiye and Malaysia responding together to Global Grand Challenges To identify possible areas for mutual collaboration To explore the development of human capital through collaborative training programmes, aimed at technical skills and practical competencies To support Malaysian High-Tech industries in their international forays with specific focus in Turkiye
