1.2 Our Part
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, then I will come in to you and will dine with you, and you with me. Revelation 3: 20
God sovereignly chooses to allow us to make choices that have real consequences to ourselves and to others. From these passages, throughout the rest of the Bible, and from our own experiences, we see people choosing both to ac - cept and to reject the good that God wants for us. God is our source of all life and all good. When we choose to follow God’s way, we choose life and good. By grace, God creates us with minds,emotions, wills, and physical bodies. We think, feel, choose, and act. We didn’t think up and create our planet. We didn’t think up and create our bodies-with-souls , our souls-in-bodies that have the abilities to think, feel, choose, and act in this world. All that has been given to us by grace. The reason for the grace of our beautiful souls-in-bodies, bodies-with-souls in this beautiful world, is for us to choose to receive even more grace for more good, to be in love with God and each other. As we choose to receive grace, we experience more good, more life, more love. We have minds, emotions, wills, abilities
so that we can, so that we will
seek more grace, receive more good, more life, more love. We are privileged with the opporunity to participate with God in the continuing creation of life, good, love in ourselves and in our world.
