God sovereignly chooses to allow us to choose to receive, to seek more grace for more good - or to choose not to seek more grace, not to receive more good. Blessing: the good that comes by grace. Much of the pace of blessing in our lives is regulated by what we choose to allow God to do in our lives. God fills the world with tools, instruments, means by which, through which God will work to bring life, good, love into our lives and into our world. The more we put these tools for grace, these means of grace into our lives, the more good God will bring to us and, through our lives, to others. God blesses us us beyond our seeking and allowing grace, but some grace comes to us from our choices. Live so that you choose more and more to accept the grace that God wants to give us. Seek out and open yourself to the features of the world - these means of grace - by which God will bring life, good, and love to all of us. By grace, God gives us a starter set of abilities. The purpose of our starter set of abilities is not to go off and see what all we can do with them all by ourselves. See Luke 12: 11-13 on p. 49. Can I run faster than anyone else? Can I be smarter than other people? Better looking? Can I sing or dance better? Can I collect more wealth or power? None of these is the reason God gives us these abilities. Yes, we explore living-in-the-world . That exploration leads us to discover grace, to discover the life of grace. We come to learn that our starter set of abilities is best applied seeking and being open to grace.
