2. God created us with a desire and a drive which will not be satisfied in the world or apart from God. This moves us towards God. p. 8 3. If we don’t make a connection to God through Jesus, our desire and drive will make us so uncomfortable (angst) that we we will direct our effort to quiet, to anesthetize the desire and drive. p. 17
4. Our connection to God is provided by the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. p. 20
5. We can make a transition from being rooted in the world and moving towards God, to being rooted in God while living in the world. p. 22
